How to Recognize Your Self-Worth

The person within.

We are all unique. We are all Divine Sparks of Light, with our own stories to write, memories to make, and destinies to fulfill. Even though we have such amazing qualities as humans, sometimes we fail to recognize how wonderful we truly are.

Think about yourself. Do you feel stagnant? Do you feel like you are blocking yourself from achieving your goals?

If you answered, “yes,” to either of those questions, then I invite you to temporarily remove those barriers. Allow yourself to absorb the words that I am about to share with you. Know in your soul, that you are meant to be reading this now, and that you are aligning yourself with your higher purpose.

First, begin by asking yourself, “What I are my goals?” Think about your deepest desires, wants, and dreams. Where do you want to see yourself in the future? What types of experiences do you wish to have in your life? What type of things would you  like to manifest for yourself?

Now ask yourself, “How am I holding myself back?”

It is important to keep in mind (throughout life), that we are all the creators of our own realities. If we are feeling any type of way, it is because we have made ourselves feel that way. No one else can control the way we feel. No one else can write the dialogue that we speak in our minds. We are the ones who write our own stories. We are the only ones who will know our side of things.

Make it a habit to start evaluating the ways you speak to yourself. Start building up your sense of self-worth by being gentle with yourself. Speak with love, and encouragement. Remind yourself that you have the power to make the right decisions for you. You can do anything you want in this life – and it starts within.

Tips for Acknowledging Self-Worth.

  1. Stand up for yourself. Don’t let anyone talk down to you. Knowing your worth means you respect yourself, and knowing that you deserve respect from others.
  2. Do things you enjoy, and leave behind the things you don’t. I think that sometimes people feel bad for letting go of ideas that didn’t play out for them the way they originally thought they would, especially in regards to their life purpose. You can try ten million things before you find the thing you are meant to do. And that’s O.K.
  3. Don’t be afraid to say “no.” Knowing your worth, means that you also know what you are willing to put up with, and not. It also means that if you know you won’t be happy going out with friends, or meeting a distanced family member, then you don’t have to go. Don’t say, “yes,” because you feel guilty. Say, “no,” because you know your worth, in all instances.
  4. Follow your passion. I’ve often felt that it is truly devastating to watch people with talent…waste it. If you have something that you are good at, and have the desire to make a career out of it, don’t be afraid to go for it! No matter how offbeat, or wild, your passion may be, don’t worry about what others will think. Follow your passion, and your soul will thank you for it.

Knowing your worth, is another act of self-love. Give yourself the love and attention you need, every day. And remember, everything starts from within.

With love & light,

-Morgan
