Energy of October.
October has always been my favorite month. Every October, I have lots of joyous experiences with friends and loved ones. It is a time when the weather starts to cool down in Arizona, and pumpkin spice coffee reigns. Last year, Taylor (my partner) and I bought a collection of cult Halloween films, and watched them all throughout October. I am looking forward to carrying on this same tradition, this year.
October is the tenth month of the year, therefore the energy it vibes with is that of the number 1. This means that we experience 1 months twice in each year, once in January and once in October. The number 1 resonates with new beginnings, hope, determination, and passion. It is the beginning of a new cycle. We are in a 1 year, as well. So this energy will be amplified throughout the month.
Take time to think about all that you want to create this month, as the year starts to wind down. Start thinking about how you want to finish off 2017, and begin 2018. Is there anything you wanted to accomplish this year that you haven’t gotten around to, yet? Now is the time to start planning.
Upon moving, I came across my very first tarot deck, which is a mini-Rider/Waite, from 1971. I bought it an antique mall when I was about 16. I felt it would be appropriate to use for October’s reading, since it has yet to be featured on my blog, and it was my first deck, so it brings back the mystical feeling of tarot, for me. I thought it would vibe well with October. 🙂
1. Two of Cups
2. 6 of Wands – Reversed
3. The Devil
The Two of Cups has been one of my favorite cards, since I got this deck years ago. It represents balance and harmony within a romantic partnership. I love this, because that is how the energy of October has always felt to me. It is a magical time, filled with lots of love and whimsical happenings. This month, you can expect your romantic life to be filled with fun and happiness. If you are partnered up, you will have a newfound appreciation for your partner, and if you are single, you can look forward to finding someone special. It could even be someone you already know.
The next card, 6 of Wands in its reversed state means that you are facing some type of opposition. You may feel angry that certain areas of your life are not coming together the way you had anticipated. This means that you must take full advantage of the 1 energy, to start rearranging your life, making necessary changes, and planning for the future. The romantic harmony that you will be feeling with your partner can help this area, as well. Lean on your partner, or even your best friends. Be sure to talk about the plans or ideas you have, honestly.
The Devil represents the change that needs to take place. This card means that you are bonding yourself to negative patterns or habits. Like I said above, lean on your loved ones, and don’t be afraid to ask them for help. This month has very good energy, even though we may be experiencing some inner turmoil. Don’t let your fears control you. Learn how to break free from the chains, go with the flow, and manifest the things that will serve your highest good.
-What do you want to manifest this month? How will you go about doing this?
-In what ways can you show your appreciation or gratitude to your romantic partner? How about your friends and family?
-How will you amplify your self-care regime this month? What can you do to nourish your mind, body, and soul?
Have a wonderfully magical October!
With love and light,
