Amethyst: The Power Stone

All you need is love…and AMETHYST.

Amethyst is one of the first stones that I can recall being introduced to, at a very young age. This is mostly due to the fact that amethyst is my mom’s birthstone. 😉 But still, amethyst is a very popular stone, and no crystal collection is complete without it. Allow me to tell you why:

-it is a powerful and protective stone

-it enhances intuition and higher states of consiousness; can reveal alternate realities

-is a cleansing stone; cleanses the aura

-protects against psychic attack

-helps ward off insomnia

-alleviates sadness, and depression; combats anxiety

-eases headaches, injuries, lungs, and digestive tract

-boosts hormone production

-balances mental, physical, and emotional bodies

See what I mean? Amethyst is literally a power stone, and can be used for almost anything. One of the most popular ways to use the benefits of amethyst, is by wearing it in jewelry, usually necklaces or rings. You can also place chunks of amethyst throughout your home to draw in some of its benefits. For insomnia, place an amethyst crystal under your pillow, or by your bedside. But be careful not to leave it outside or on a windowsill, as amethyst can fade in sunlight.

Want to know more about the healing powers of amethyst?

Check out the book I used to study amethyst, called The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. This is a book that I reference all the time, and I think you might enjoy it too, if you want to know more about amethyst and the other 200+ crystals featured in the book.

Let me know what you think! What do you use amethyst for?

With love and light,

-Morgan
