3 Ways to Stand in Your Power

Be powerful.

Each of us is a unique individual, with our own thoughts, feelings, dreams, and aspirations. I know that sometimes it is easy to get discouraged about ourselves, because we are constantly seeing the success of others through the internet and social media, and within our personal lives.
In times like these, it is important that we remember how truly amazing we are, and trust that there is a reason why we are here. We have a purpose to fulfill – and that purpose is as unique as we ourselves, are.

If you know where you want to go, but have been worried about actually going for it, or are holding yourself back in some way, first, know that you are not alone. Second, if you need a little help in honing your power, here are 3 ways you can start feeling more comfortable in your own skin, today:

  1. Speak your truth – Always be yourself, especially with words. This means both in your head, and during conversations with others. Keep your throat chakra in balance, by saying what you mean, AND living what you mean. If others don’t like what you’re doing, that’s okay. They are on their own path, too.
  2. Do what YOU need – Don’t settle for anything because someone else thinks you should. Don’t hang out with people who drain your energy. Don’t deny your body and spirit their needs. Always listen to your heart and do what feels best for you, at any given moment.
  3. Love yourself – As humans, we need lots of TLC, and most of it needs to come from within. Make time each day to do something special for yourself, whether it be a bubble bath, treating yourself to a coffee, or even exercising. The list is literally endless. Find what works for you, and always honor yourself. You may live more than once, but you are the only you you will ever have. 😉
