Hello everyone and welcome to the first day of my 28 Days to Self-Love Challenge! I am so excited to be starting this journey with you, and I hope you are excited, too. Before we begin, make sure you download and print out the 28 Days to Self-Love Checklist, so that you may follow along with the challenge. Using the checklist will help you to keep in touch with yourself and your feelings, as well as help you to stay on track with your goal.
Today, we have a couple things to cover before we get started. First, let’s talk about why it is important that you hold love for yourself. Self-love is important because without love for ourselves, we block many experiences, and opportunities from entering into our lives. These can be in the form of intimate relationships, relationships with friends and family, attracting abundance, staying in good health, and discovering our life’s purpose.
It works like this: You are a divine spark of light, a part of the Spirit which connects us and everything on this planet. You have the power to act as a vessel for this energy, as long as you are vibrating high and aligning yourself to receive that love from source. If you do not hold love for yourself, you will have difficulties using your innate gifts, and you will have a hard time connecting with Spirit. When you do not have enough love for yourself, it becomes extremely difficult to share your love with another.
Think of yourself as a cup, your liquid being the love you have. If the cup is mostly empty, you will not have have anything to share with those in your life. However, if the cup is full and overflowing, you will have an infinite supply of love to give to your tribe, and maybe even people you do not know.
So, loving yourself is important because when you are in alignment with Spirit, and showing yourself that you are deserving, the universe will reward you. It will be easier for you to manifest the things you want, and new opportunities will always be knocking on your door.
Not to mention my favorite part: loving yourself means you can love others better, which means by loving yourself you are spreading more light throughout the world. With self-love, we have the power to create peace on Earth. This is why I am hosting this challenge.
Love yourself because you are worth it. Love yourself because you are beautiful and strong. Love yourself because that is the way we were intended to feel. Love yourself to love others, and create peace throughout our planet.
Now that we have gone over the importance of self-love, it is time to get on with the first challenge. Yay!
There are actually two things that I want you to do today. The first thing I want you to do is commit to loving yourself. Yep, that’s it.
Affirm: Today, I am committing to loving myself unconditionally. I now accept myself as I am, and love every part of me.
Repeat this affirmation at least five times. Close your eyes and imagine a golden ball of energy growing in your chest. Allow yourself to really feel the words you are speaking. Feel the energy in your chest get stronger, and feel your vibration begin to rise. Through this process, you are connecting with your higher self.
After you have completed this, take a moment to think about why you are taking this challenge. What led you here, today? Why do you want to love yourself?
Using the sentence I crafted, fill in the blank, and state your goal for completing this challenge. We will reference this goal throughout the next 28 days. There is a spot on the checklist for you to write it out. Make sure you do so, so you don’t forget!

And then you fill in the blank. 🙂
Here is my example:
I am committing to loving myself today, and always, because I want to lead a happy life.
You can use my example, or come up with your own. Listen to your intuition, and your higher self. Choose a statement that feels right for you. You do not have to share it with me or publicly, but you are more than welcome to, if you feel guided! The goal is to feel like you can accomplish this by the end of this month.
Once you have completed those two tasks, go ahead and mark off that it is done on your checklist. Congratulate yourself, my friend! You have just taken the first step to loving yourself. Yes, it CAN be this easy!
